Let’s look at the entire country. Find your state and
color it red.
Use an atlas (a book of maps) to find the large
bodies of water that border the United States. Color
them blue. Label oceans, the lake between Michigan
and Wisconsin and the Gulf of Mexico.
Find the major rivers that flow through the United States.
Draw them on the map in blue.
