REALLY INTELLIGENT DOG BRINGS HAPPINESS
BY ORIOL PINO
Her owner knew that her dog was clever but couldn’t imagine how!
It was 8:00AM on a Tuesday morning, and, like every day, Lilly left home and went to work. Tow, her dog, stayed at home. They lived together in a loft in the outskirts of London for four months. Previously, they lived in Liverpool but Lilly lost her husband in a car accident and after two years suffering, she decided she needed a change of scenery and moved to London.
It was 14:21PM when Lilly’s phone rang. It was a notification of the alarm system alerting that some movement, were detected in an area where Tow could not reach. Automatically, the alarm company called the police. While the officers reached the loft, Lilly was also driving home to check what was happening at home. “At that moment, the only I was thinking about was if Tow was okay. I could not also lose him.”.
"At that moment, the only I was thinking about was if of Tow was okay."
When she arrived home, the officers had already registered and arrested the burglar. This could be considered as a happy ending but Lilly didn’t know that the story wasn’t over.
A police officer called Dan approached her and told Lilly that inside the house everything was surprisingly alright. “I couldn’t understand how could everything be alright if the burglar had been searching for goods to steal, and that’s when Dan explained to me why he couldn’t touch anything”.

The officer told Lilly that Tow had cornered the burglar inside the pantry and locked him inside. “I was amazed at Tow. He was able to face the burglar and for my surprise, he knew what the lock did and how to turn it.” said Lilly.

However, if you thought that the story ended here, you are wrong. Thanks to that little fright, Lilly and Dan met, and now, seven months later, they live happily together with Tow. “I thought I would never fall in love again, but here I am, expecting for a baby and as happy as I’ve ever been for a long time!”.
