When it comes to Wimbledon, it doesn’t take much for us Brits to claim a possible success story as our own (see Greg Rusedski).
We now find ourselves getting behind Sydney-born Johanna Konta. In fairness, the 26-year-old moved to the UK at the age of 14 and has represented Britain for five years.
The 8/1 third favourite has won both the Miami and Sydney singles titles already this year as well as reaching the final in Nottingham a matter of weeks ago.
The big server has dismissed any worries of an overload in her schedule having competed at the Aegon Classic in Birmingham late in June.
