She received two awards in 1981 at the Cannes Film Festival and two film Academy nominations for best actress.

Brigitte Bardo was triumphant in 1956 with the movie Et Dieu Créa la femme (“And God created the woman”). After the following movies, Malheur (“In the event of calamity”) and Babette sén va-t-en guerre (“Babette goes to war”), she becomes very popular in France.

Alain Delon starred in Rocco and his brothers, directed by Luchino Visconti, for which he was widely praised by film critics.
