The Suffragettes Review

The Suffragettes was released in October 2015 by Sarah Gavron. It was selected for the British Festival of Cinema in Nîmes in March 2016.

The cast of the film is composed of Carey Mulligan, Helena Bonham Carter, Brendan Gleeson and Ben Whishaw. The audience discovered a dramatic movie about an historical period in England. This is the first time in history that a director is allowed to shoot in the House of Parliament by MPs.

In the beginning of the 20th century a struggle begins by the Suffragettes, a group of British femenist women who fight for obtaining the right to vote.
