Film Workshops in Poland
In April this year we took part part in film workshops organized by Społeczna Akademia Nauk (the Social Academy of Science).
The lectures and classes were conducted by film professionals: Paweł Jóźwiak – Rodan, a Polish writer, film director, screenwriter, and film producer, Sławomir Kalwinek –the Dean of the Film School in Łódź and Grzegorz Habryn – a film editor. During the first day of the workshops we learnt about different types of frames, shots and camera movements.
We also got to know how to make a film well, what are the advantages of long shots and how to use light in an interesting way. We also found about the first and second plan, props and colours and what effects filming by two cameras can give us. Working on screenplay we learnt about the advantages of free, multi-platforming program -celtix.
At the end of the meeting we presented the idea of our script for a short film, which we made the next day with a professional help of Paweł Jóźwiak. Our video will soon be available and it will be possible to watch the movie on the website of our school.
