relation to referendums paid and reduction or funding provisions for unfunded mandates. The School Board will consider formal approval of the legislative platform prior to the 2018 legislative session which convenes on Feb. 20, 2018. Operations Insurance renewal Chuck Holden, chief operations officer, presented an overview of district insurance renewals that would go into effect on Dec. 31, 2017 with School Board approval. Holden noted that property insurance, general liability, auto liability and damage, and errors and omissions coverages have been reviewed by district consultants and recommended for approval to provide best value for taxpayers. Holden recommended the district add cyber liability coverage to provide broad protection for district and student data including extortion, network interrup- tion, security and privacy liability, and numerous other coverages to protect against a breach of data. The School Board will consider approval at a future meeting. General counsel Approval of master agreement for special education program supervisors Paul Cady, general counsel, presented a two-year master agreement for special education program supervisors effective through June 30, 2019. The agreement was negotiated within budget parameters and was approved on a 4-1 vote with Director William Fields voting no. Consent agenda The School Board approved all items: a. b. Minutes from Nov. 13, 2017 School Board meeting. Retirements, resignations, terminations, layoffs and recalls, leaves and modified leaves of absence, extra service agreements, curriculum writing. c. Cash disbursements. d. Cash balance report. e. Monthly revenue and expenditures. f. Approval of December cash disbursements in advance. g. Donations and scholarship reports. h. Immunization exclusions. Upcoming meetings: • Regular School Board meeting, 6:30 p.m. on Monday, Dec. 11 at the Sandburg Education Center, 1902 Second Ave., Anoka. A truth-in-taxation public hearing will be held at 6 p.m. in the same location and date.
