Mental Health Update Cory McIntyre, associate superintendent of middle schools and student services, provided an update on mental health services available to support district students. Finance 714.0 Fund Balance Policy Update Michelle Vargas, chief financial officer, presented a revised policy for School Board consideration that would direct the use of undesignated funds in excess of ten percent of the general fund budget to support School Board approved strategic investments. The policy would essentially maintain the ten percent contingency in fund balance to ensure strong financial management, an increase from the current five percent in the policy. The policy will return for the board for approval at a future meeting. General counsel Approve master agreement with child nutrition assistants Paul Cady, general counsel, presented an agreement regarding terms and conditions of employment for child nutrition assistants from July 1, 2018, to June 30, 2020. The contract is within budget parameters and was approved by the School Board on a unanimous vote. Consent agenda All items were approved as presented. A.
