highly gifted learners. Work on these efforts has been under development since 2015. Dr. Mary Wolverton, associate superintendent for elementary schools, led an overview presentation regarding the program that will serve students in grades 3, 4 and 5. The School Board approved a plan to locate the program at Eisenhower Elementary School with a starting date in the fall of 2019. Elementary ELA Update Anoka-Hennepin is in year three implementation of Reading Wonders English Language Arts curriculum for all students in district elementary schools. A program review and feedback from teaching staff and school administrators has led to alterations for improvement, particularly as it relates to assessments. The proposed modifications were approved on a unanimous vote. Finance Preliminary general fund budget fiscal years 2020 and 2021 Michelle Vargas, chief financial officer, provided an overview of district revenue and expenditures for the next two school years. Vargas reviewed the timeline and process to create the proposed 2020 budget, which is under development and expected to be approved by the School Board on June 24, 2019. A series of parameters used to develop the General Fund revenue and expenditures were shared and discussed. Vargas identified special education programming, transportation contracts and health insurance as areas that are providing pressure on the budget. General counsel Approve master agreement, curriculum materials attendant 2017-20 Paul Cady, general counsel, presented an agreement regarding terms and conditions of employment for curriculum materials attendant from July 1, 2017, to June 30, 2020. The contract is within budget parameters and was approved by the School Board on a unanimous vote.
