Anoka High School
• Senior Cassandra Farber has been named a National Merit Finalist.
• Junior Sophia Brown competed at the International Science Fair.
• Senior Natt Njos was recognized for winning a state wrestling title in his weight class
of 160 pounds, and freshman Tyler Eischens finished second at state in his 113-pound
weight class.
• Senior Matt Hedman finished third place in two events at the state boys swim meet.
• Senior Logan Bergevin was named DECA State Champion in employment interview at
the state tournament.
• Seniors Ashley Muckway, Madison Froberg, Hannah Park and Alexys Shepperd were
named BPA National Leadership Conference qualifiers.
Champlin Park High School
• Principal Mike George recognized 27 Champlin Park High School (CPHS) students for
their first or second place awards in State Fair competitions.
• CPHS students Landja Andriamihaja, Drew Hoek, Nicholas Lulloff, Lydia Macdonald,
Alec Rohweder and Grace Wilson were recognized for being named to the Minnesota
Music Educator’s Association (MMEA) All-State Choir.
• Natalia Johnson, Amanda Mastrain and Grace Wojceichowski were recognized for being named to the MMEA All-State Band.
• Wojceichowski and Sarah Kalsow were also recognized for being named all-state band
participants.
• Maria Arriola and Bryant Huang were recognized for being named to the MMEA AllState Orchestra.
• Mia Adams and Emily Freese earned recognition for finishing with gold medals, Alicia
Merel and Kiera Mount for winning silver medals at the FCCLA state leadership competition.
• Mercaydes Gjerdahl, Mackenzie Graen each finished first place in storybook writing at
the Future Educator’s Association conference.
• Natalia Johnson was named to the all state honor band.
• Sarah Kalsow, Belinda Huang and Maria Arriola earned third place in IB music.
• Lanha Andriamihaja, Sierra Bachler and Rachel Chidester were named to the American
Choral Director’s Association honor choir.
• Nick Lulloff, Bronwyn Lundell, Jackson Prothero, Morgan Ranney, Alec Rohweder,
Wesley Shirola and Johannah Woodley were named to the ASDA honor choir.
• Mackenzie Bintner, Nancy Vang, Brandon Nguyen-Calkins and Amber Westlund
earned gold or silver keys at the Scholastic Arts and Writing Awards.
• Kayla Chilester, Brennan Harvey and Joseph Martini were named to the all state choir.
