ACTION! Issue 2 | Page 5

First, in February 2017 some teachers went to a transnational meeting in Poland to organize the rest of the year's activities.

Then, in April 2017, each school organized a five days' Erasmus+ event during which students and teachers took part in a film festival, a cinematic workshop and several promoting activities. This event was organized to replace the meeting in Turkey.

Finally, in May, 60 students and 20 teachers took part in the meeting in Braila, Romania. During a wonderful week, they all participated to our own inner short film festival, some workshops and visits connected with cinema. And they finally attended a magnifient award ceremony in the local theater. A great many thanks to our Romanian partners who organized this meeting with generosity and professionalism.

As to the short films created by students and teachers this year, their quality shows the deep implication of their creators. The films in competition, all centered around this year's topic : Europe and the Great Issues of the 21st Century, take a critical look at our society, to which no one can be indifferent. They also show the importance of staying united to face up to those issues.

I personnally would like to thank all the participants for their unfailing commitment to our project, which I hope has helped them develop some of their skills and brought them the desire to go on exploring the diversity and the richess of the European cultures to make together a better world for all.
