Dear Volunteer Leadership Council Members...
Thank you for your patience as we work to structure and provide guidance on the various role descriptions for the Volunteer Leadership Council; this direction is expected to be completed later this summer. As information becomes available you will be updated immediately. Though we make have taken the summer months off from our meetings, our work is certainly continuing in our communities and our hope is that this newsletter along with future newsletters will allow us to keep you up to date.
Phyllis and I are open to feedback as to how the VLC can best support our mission, events and program of work. If you have ideas, please don’t hesitate to share.
As you know we have paused meetings for the summer and will meet again on September 25th. In the meantime, if you have individuals interested in joining our VLC, please forward their information to Cara, Phyllis, or myself so that we may follow up with them.
My heartfelt thanks to each of you for your support and service to ACS. Your work with the American Society is imperative to our success. Thank you for all you’re doing to help us win the fight against cancer – you have our sincere gratitude.
