An interview with the man behind the music
ADR: We all know that artists have influences that have
inspired them to be who they are, and helped shape their
style. Is it any different for you as a producer?
B.R: My biggest influence for producing music has never
been a particular producer. I admire many of them. My
main influence has always been the bands and singers and
guitarists I enjoy. In the rock world it would be such artists
as Joe Satriani, Eric Johnson, AC/DC, etc. In the country world I am influenced by such artists as Randy Rogers, Wade Bowen, Brad Paisely, Miranda Lambert, etc. I
decided long ago that I would not be a rock star, but what
a blessing to still be able to work with music, and make a
living while doing it!

ADR: Were you also like many musicians, in that you
started out making music in your garage?
B.R: I got started recording at home with a Tascam 4 track
cassette recorder and a drum machine. From there I started
adding microphones, speakers, effects units, etc. There
were many challenges in those days, such as a mother who
always yelled at me to turn it down, barking dogs, etc.
ADR: I think that many can relate to that. It looks like you
have come a long way since then. Now you got all the cool
toys. Can you give us a quick breakdown of what you are
working with today, compared to what you started off with
in the beginning days?
