Roads to Rhymes ADR has always been driven when it comes to finding innovative ways to producing and promoting local artists. In fact, that is where the name comes from. Over the years ADR has evolved with a growing music scene that has inspired us to keep moving forward, and find new ways to get new music heard. With thousands of music loving fans flocking to Melody Mountain Ranch, I knew that many undiscovered artists would be singing and playing their hearts out around the after-show campfire jams. The memories of those moments is what fueled me to make my dream a reality, and build a mobile studio. It was a week before Texas’ biggest music festival kicked off, and I had an idea that I could not let pass me by. In just a five days, with the help of a few loyal friends, the mobile studio was built, and ready to hit the road. 16 | Acoustic Drive Once I arrived and got set up, I was finally ready to show off the hard work that was put into the project. When curious folks stopped to see what was inside the mysterious mobile studio, their first reaction was ‘Wow’. The swanky interior came as a pleasant surprise to patrons who stepped inside from its rustic surroundings. It was the perfect opportunity for me to not only show off the mobile studio, but to also promote ADR’s Featured Artists, and their songs on the Playlist. New ADR fans were being made, and some unexpected visitors made my day even better. Word got out about ADR’s mobile studio, to the man himself, and Larry Joe Taylor stopped by with his buddy Kevin Fowler. Both seemed to really dig the setup, and the idea in general.
