The moment was special for lead singer Jennifer Vigil , as she too , had been unknowingly searching for affirmation . “ Growing up I felt it was wrong to be Latina , and here is this woman who comes to our concert because she has been searching for it . It was a magical moment ,” Vigil shares .
Music is a powerful language and has the power to connect generations , cultures and certainly cities .
Son Dulce began performing in 2007 and has since grown to an 11-piece band comprised of a number of talented artists , from the sax to the keyboard . “ I am blessed to work with some of the finest professional musicians and finest humans in this region ,” Vigil says .
The name Son Dulce means Sweet Sound ; it represents how the community feels .

Jennifer at the front is great at grabbing you and just keeping you on the dance floor ,” as first-timer and experienced Latin dancer Mindi Sheer says ; she didn ’ t want to leave .
