One​ ​ ​dark​ ​and​ ​stormy​ ​night​ ​there were​ ​two​ ​kids​ ​walking​ ​in​ ​the​ ​rain. ​ ​ ​Their names​ ​were​ ​Harold​ ​and​ ​George. ​ ​They were​ ​ten​ ​and​ ​eleven​ ​years​ ​old​ ​and​ ​they had​ ​been​ ​walking​ ​for​ ​hours. ​ ​They​ ​were on​ ​their​ ​way​ ​to​ ​walk​ ​home​ ​and​ ​they​ ​had seen​ ​a​ ​pumpkin​ ​in​ ​the​ ​middle​ ​of​ ​the street. ​ ​The​ ​pumpkin​ ​had​ ​red​ ​eyes​ ​and they​ ​picked​ ​it​ ​up​ ​and​ ​said​ ​“ What​ ​should we​ ​do​ ​with​ ​it?,” ​ ​Harold​ ​said​ ​“ Oh​ ​I​ ​know let’ s​ ​smash​ ​it!” ​ ​and​ ​George​ ​said,“ Ya​ ​let’ s​ ​do​ ​that... that ' s​ ​a​ ​great​ ​idea!” Harold​ ​raised​ ​his​ ​arms​ ​and​ ​they​ ​heard someone​ ​“ Say​ ​put​ ​me​ ​down​ ​now! ​ ​They looked​ ​at​ ​the​ ​pumpkin​ ​and​ ​he​ ​said, ​ ​“ Ya that’ s​ ​right​ ​I​ ​talked​ ​and​ ​I​ ​mean​ ​it​ ​put​ ​me down!!” ​ ​They​ ​put​ ​him​ ​in​ ​George’ s bookbag​ ​and​ ​smashed​ ​him. ​ ​By​ ​the​ ​time they​ ​got​ ​home​ ​it​ ​stopped​ ​raining​ ​and they​ ​went​ ​to​ ​bed. ​ ​When​ ​they​ ​woke​ ​up they​ ​saw​ ​a​ ​bunch​ ​of​ ​baby​ ​pumpkins scattered​ ​all​ ​over​ ​their​ ​room​ ​and​ ​they​ ​all had​ ​red​ ​eyes​ ​and​ ​they​ ​all​ ​started​ ​saying“ Why​ ​did​ ​you​ ​smash​ ​our​ ​dad? ​ ​Why​ ​did you​ ​smash​ ​our​ ​dad?” ​ ​over​ ​and​ ​over again. ​ ​They​ ​both​ ​said​ ​to​ ​each​ ​other​ ​“ Is this​ ​a​ ​nightmare?” ​ ​George​ ​said, ​ ​“ Pinch me” ​ ​and​ ​Harold​ ​did​ ​and​ ​they​ ​said​ ​out loudly​ ​“ This​ ​is​ ​not​ ​a​ ​nightmare!!!!”

The​ ​next​ ​day​ ​they​ ​went​ ​to​ ​the pumpkin​ ​patch. ​ ​They​ ​were​ ​looking​ ​for​ ​a small​ ​pumpkin​ ​that​ ​was​ ​ $ 2.99​ ​and​ ​a​ ​big pumpkin​ ​that​ ​was​ ​ $ 6.75. ​ ​ ​Later​ ​that night, ​ ​they​ ​were​ ​carving​ ​pumpkins. Harold​ ​got​ ​the​ ​big​ ​pumpkin​ ​and​ ​George

had​ ​gotten​ ​the​ ​smaller​ ​one. ​ ​They​ ​started to​ ​carve​ ​the​ ​pumpkins​ ​and​ ​they​ ​went outside​ ​for​ ​a​ ​minute. ​ ​Then​ ​they​ ​came back​ ​inside​ ​and​ ​the​ ​pumpkins​ ​were gone. ​ ​Harold​ ​said, ​ ​“ Where​ ​did​ ​they​ ​go?” And​ ​George​ ​responded​ ​“ I​ ​don’ t​ ​know. Where​ ​did​ ​they​ ​go? ​ ​ ​let’ s​ ​go​ ​check​ ​the rooms.” ​ ​George​ ​looked​ ​in​ ​the​ ​his​ ​room and​ ​Harold​ ​looked​ ​in​ ​his. ​ ​They​ ​both said, ​ ​“ Do​ ​you​ ​see​ ​them?” ​ ​ ​They​ ​both responded​ ​“ Nope.” ​ ​They​ ​looked​ ​in​ ​their parents​ ​room​ ​and​ ​they​ ​didn’ t​ ​see​ ​them, and​ ​then​ ​they​ ​went​ ​in​ ​their​ ​backyard and​ ​they​ ​both​ ​didn’ t​ ​see​ ​them. ​ ​They checked​ ​out​ ​front​ ​and​ ​they​ ​saw​ ​them. George​ ​said​ ​“ Why​ ​do​ ​they​ ​have​ ​red eyes?” ​ ​Harold​ ​responded, ​ ​“ I​ ​don’ t know.” ​ ​George​ ​tried​ ​to​ ​catch​ ​his pumpkin​ ​and​ ​as​ ​George​ ​tried​ ​to​ ​catch his​ ​pumpkin​ ​it​ ​grew​ ​bigger​ ​and​ ​Harold tried​ ​to​ ​catch​ ​his. ​ ​As​ ​he​ ​tried​ ​to​ ​catch itm, ​ ​his​ ​also​ ​gets​ ​bigger​ ​and​ ​they​ ​both tried​ ​to​ ​catch​ ​their​ ​pumpkin. ​ ​George caught​ ​his​ ​and​ ​two​ ​minutes​ ​later​ ​Harold caught​ ​his​ ​and​ ​Harold​ ​said, ​ ​“ Let’ s​ ​go back​ ​inside​ ​and​ ​carve​ ​these,” ​ ​George said, ​ ​“ Ok” ​ ​and​ ​they​ ​did​ ​that. ​ ​Then​ ​when the​ ​carved​ ​the​ ​pumpkins, ​ ​the​ ​pumpkins talked​ ​and​ ​said​ ​“ We​ ​will​ ​get​ ​revenge​ ​on you.” ​ ​When​ ​they​ ​finished​ ​carving​ ​the pumpkins​ ​they​ ​went​ ​to​ ​sleep. ​ ​When George​ ​woke​ ​up​ ​he​ ​said​ ​ ​to​ ​Harold“ Wake​ ​up! ​ ​It ' s​ ​Halloween.” ​ ​Harold​ ​said“ I ' ve​ ​been​ ​waiting​ ​for​ ​so​ ​long. ​ ​It’ s​ ​finally here. ​ ​Halloween​ ​is​ ​here.” ​ ​They​ ​got​ ​out of​ ​their​ ​beds​ ​and​ ​got​ ​dressed​ ​to​ ​go outside​ ​to​ ​ride​ ​their​ ​bikes. ​ ​They​ ​went​ ​in the​ ​garage​ ​and​ ​get​ ​both​ ​of​ ​their​ ​bikes and​ ​ride​ ​them​ ​around​ ​the​ ​block​ ​a​ ​couple times. ​ ​Their​ ​legs​ ​get​ ​tired​ ​and​ ​they​ ​went
