Featured Speaker: Auden Schendler, Senior Vice President of
Sustainability at Aspen Skiing Company
Climate Change is the problem of our time, but too often we fail
to understand it. What does it really mean for our future and our
work? And what are the kinds of solutions that matter, versus
those that are just token fixes? Auden Schendler has spent his
career in the trenches looking for ways to address the problem
at scale, and also smaller fixes that cut energy use at the source.
He’s had as much failure as success and shares his battles and
insights with stories that will help water professionals find their
own meaningful way to participate in the climate revolution.
Schendler works on scale solutions to the climate problem,
including clean energy development, policy, and activism. His
projects include the nation’s only coal mine methane-to-energy
plant, development of a “snow lobby” in the U.S., and authoring
the book Getting Green Done. He was named a “climate innovator”
by TIME magazine and a “climate saver” by the EPA.
Join your fellow ACE19 attendees for an exciting Opening
General Session!
