The search for lead service lines and lead service components is challenging . While records of individual service line materials are not readily available or are inaccurate for many water systems , historical records can provide invaluable information for field investigators . This session discusses how utilities have found old records that have helped narrow down where lead services lines are located in their systems with efforts by some to improve the efficiency of removing them .
