Description : This session will provide an update on current concepts and technologies , new and emerging imaging techniques , along with treatments and new therapeutics within the retina sub-specialty . Key retina topics include : current and emerging treatment for dry and wet age-related macular degeneration ( AMD ), diabetic macular edema ( DME ) and retinal vein occlusion ( RVO ). Additionally , updates in imaging , surgery , intraocular tumors , the impact of systemic diseases on the retina , hereditary macular / retinal degenerations and trauma will be covered . Description : This course is designed to prepare the attendee for the IJCAHPO COA multiple-choice certification exam . This prep course will provide a general review of all content areas covered in the COA certification examination .

Certified Ophthalmic Technician ( COT ®) Certification Exam Prep Course ( 06SU46 )

Description : This course is designed to prepare the attendee by providing a general review of the content areas for the IJCAHPO COT multiple-choice certification exam and the following clinical skills : retinoscopy , refinement , ocular motility , cover and alternate cover testing , keratometry , lensometry , tonometry and visual fields . An introduction to the simulation component will be provided .

Certified Ophthalmic Medical Technologist ( COMT ®) Certification Exam Prep Course ( 07SU46 )

Description : This course is designed to prepare the attendee by providing a general review of the content areas for the IJCAHPO COMT multiple-choice certification exam and the following clinical skills : versions and ductions , pupil evaluation , fundus photography and fluorescein phases , ocular motility and manual lensometry . An introduction to the simulation component will be provided .
