Operational Space Reception & Social The hall’s reception and operational space is proposed in Lindsay North. This building will also contain the main social space. This space is centrally located and has the opportunity to provide spill out spaces from the social space onto a south facing terrace. 1 2 There is potential for the wall of L1 to be used as a projection screen. Other similar ideas will be explored to maximise the opportunities for uses of the spaces around the buildings as well as within the buildings. 1. reception area View from the central courtyard space towards the reception and social space at Lindsay North Lindsay North Hub Plan 2. main social space 1 IN 60 The Prospect Room Study Space At the upper level of Lindsay L1, the “prospect room” will provide study space, with exceptional views, and also provide the visual marker that is a part of the University’s objectives 6 6 The proposals currently show a series of spaces at the top of the building, which could be considered for the following: 3 4 3. the arrival space – via a dedicated lift 4. a series of quiet lounge spaces, for informal study – or relaxation 5 5. a flexible study space with panoramic view 6. the potential of a series of small “sky gardens” View of the upper level prospect room study space and sky gardens Lindsay L1 Hub Plan Project Update – August 2016
