Fourth Generation provides temporary
power for the event and entertainment
industries worldwide. Specialising
in concert tours, television, festivals,
sporting and large scale corporate and
private events.
Providing a wide range of rental
generators for all temporary power
applications and locations, Fourth
Generation has worked hand in hand
with leading industry partners to
develop and custom build an elite
standard of equipment. All units within
their generator inventory have been
built with special attention paid to size,
noise level and technical specifications.
They are all designed specifically for the
live event industry.
The company’s FG 440 kVA twinpack
and FG 500 kVA units, incorporate
Volvo Penta marine engines and
Stamford alternators with Woodward
electronics. Whilst their fleet of whisper
quiet towable generators are ideally
placed for the corporate and private
event market. Their non branded
livery ensures that they offer a discreet
presence at any event. Ranging from
60 to 150 kVA, they offer a unique 55/56
dB at 7 meters. Arguably the quietest on
the rental market, they are contained
within super silenced canopies and are
characterized by low noise levels due
to an innovative VSi (Variable Speed
inverter) cooling system and offer low
fuel consumption.
In terms of this fuel consumption and
environmental impact, the whisper
quiet generators are characterized
by a high efficiency level. Their VSi
cooling technology overcomes the
limitations of traditional systems which
utilise mechanical radiator fans with
constant speed. The variable speed
control system of the fans, interacts
with a system of sensors which allow
a substantial recovery of power. The
result is excellent fuel economy and
a reduction of exhaust gases into
the atmosphere, thus benefitting the
environment. In fact, the fans of the
cooling system come into action only
when necessary, according to the
amount of heat which needs to be
dissipated. Moreover, the consumption
of the fans is very low (around 10% of
the maximum power used compared to
the fan of a conventional mechanical
radiator). To avoid soil contamination,
the fuel tanks are equipped with a
bunded system to collect fuel and
engine liquids.
The company also supply a full range
of distribution and cable packages,
transformers, UPS units, work lights, fuel
bowsers, fuel management, cable
ramps and crew.
Overseeing all levels of power project
management, Fourth Generation
ensures that the equipment, fuelling,
transportation, crew and of course the
health and safety elements of a project
