Our remit included analysing the current Excel network topology and specification , reviewing current policies , gaining an in-depth understanding of the event connectivity requirements , identifying the probable footfall flow with any pinch points and advising on any infrastructure improvements . We also monitor the network performance during the event to enable us to provide a detailed report of our findings , including our recommendations for potential improvements for the 2024 show .

The World Defence Show Riyadh
Location : Riyadh , Saudi Arabia Event Type : Inaugural World Defense Show Service Provided : Connectivity Consultancy for temporary overlay and new venue permanent infrastructure
The Project : Founded by Saudi Arabia ’ s General Authority for Military Industries ( GAMI ), World Defence Show ( WDS ) was a brand new , major international expo featuring the latest technology and capabilities in the defence sector . Including a large exhibition space , pavilions , outdoor static displays and demonstrations as well as conference and seminar spaces for an estimated audience of 10,000 per day .
The event was hosted in a brand new purpose-built venue outside Riyadh , Saudi Arabia .
Our Solution : Noba was engaged as a connectivity consultancy to WDS , the overall aim of this consultancy is to understand the extent and scope of services and determine the overlay options , their costs , features and revenue possibilities . Our scope of work included :
• Identify key network requirements for the successful delivery of The World Defense Show .
• Review current network systems and schematics from the venue .
• Identify shortfalls and weaknesses in the venue design & programme , with World Defense Show requirements in mind .
• Identify networking scopes of work for permanent and temporary event overlay .
• Produce estimated budgets and costs for endto-end solutions .

Challenges : This was a really challenging consultancy project , not only were we working on a brand new show but also a brand new purpose-built exhibition centre being built ready for the show launch .
There were a lot of moving parts and teams that we needed to bring together in order to understand the show ’ s temporary overlay requirements but also make sure the venue ’ s permanent infrastructure was fit for purpose and delivered in time and as per the specification for the show launch .
