Ian Xiang of Outreach Creative - the creators of
Lightopia – tells Access: “We have designed a world in
which light, sculpture and art combine with traditional,
Chinese lantern-making techniques to create something
London has never seen before - a world where guests
are not just invited to view the show, but to become a
vital part of it. Many of the exhibits will react differently
depending on who is manipulating the lights, so the
experience will change from night to night.
Proud Events director Joe Sheals added: “This first year
has been a huge success so far. It brought new activations
to a well established event in Edinburgh, sold over
100,000 tickets in its first year in Manchester and started
a great partnership with Manchester City Council and
Transport for Greater Manchester. Chiswick House and
Gardens is a perfect setting.
