Granca Live generates € 25 million
The organisers of this year’ s edition of Canary Islands ' Granca Live Fest said it generated € 25 million, with 94 % of the more than 55,000 event attendees having travelled to the Spanish archipelago for the event. Among the acts to play the 3-5 July festival were Will Smith, Enrique Iglesias, Jason Derulo and Ozuna. A survey of attendees, following the fourth edition of the annual event, found that 90 % of them would visit the island again.

DEAG acquires Rockharz Festival
Kilimanjaro Live parent company DEAG has grown its burgeoning outdoor events interests with the acquisition of the Rockharz Festival from promoter Veruga. Pan-European promoter, ticketing and venue giant Deutsche Entertainment Aktiengesellschaft( DEAG) said it had acquired a majority stake in the 25,000-capacity festival, which celebrated its 30th anniversary last year, via its DEAG Festivals GmbH subsidiary. Rockharz, which takes place in Ballenstedt in eastern Germany, is understood to be the largest rock and metal festival in the region and one of Germany’ s largest. Tickets for Rockharz 2026 sold out in three days. The festival’ s managing directors, Thorsten Kohlrausch and Daniela Glogner, will continue to play an active and long-term role in shaping the festival’ s future development, according to DEAG.

Live Nation JV to manage three Dubai venues
Live Nation Middle East is partnering with Expo City Dubai to operate three entertainment venues; Jubilee Park( cap. 11,000), Al Forsan Park( 5,000), and Dubai Millennium Amphitheater( 2,000). BRAG, a joint venture between Live Nation Middle East and UAE-based events company BRAG, will manage the facilities. Among the major events to have been staged at the venues include the Untold Music Festival, Break the Block, ELROW, and the FIFA Fan Zone, along with concerts by acts including Jungle, Amr Diab, Tiësto, Adnan Sami, and Rahat Fateh Ali Khan.“ This partnership with BRAG and Live Nation Middle East reflects our continued commitment to transforming Expo City into a year-round hub for worldclass entertainment,” said Expo City Dubai executive creative director entertainment & experiences Amna Abulhoul.
