CHAPTER 7 DEVELOPMENT
Yesterday, today, or tomorrow: the act of making
makes us human.
Tim Brown
Aim of development phase is to develop solution based on selected concept. Put working prototype into user testing and refine it iteratively based on testing feedback. As
Craftventure has planned according to execution timeline, this chapter will focus on the
development Craftventure program via co-design, service prototyping (digital service as
example), service evidence development, and business model canvas.
CO-DESIGN EMPOWERS USER
Co-design indicates collective creativity as it is applied across the whole span of a design
process. It is a specific instance of co-creation, referring to the creativity of designers and
people not trained in design working together in the design development
process 30.
The figure aside is meant to explain the traditional design process versus co-design
process. User is passively being studied and interviewed by researchers while designer is
also passively receiving result to proceed with further work. However, co-design changes
the game rule by empowering user to actively contribute experiences
