Outdoor Education 10 is an off-campus excursion that provides students the opportunity to explore their passions and personalize their learning in the outdoors . Group activities include canoeing , kayaking , art in nature , hiking , camping skills , beachcombing , and archery . Students will have the opportunity to choose an outdoor stream focusing on activities that tey are interested in . Adhering to the philosophy of ‘ challenge by choice ’, students are empowered to choose to participate in the activities for a personalized level of engagement .

Student-led leadership workshops , outdoor instruction and experiential learning of their comfort zones , both physically and mentally . They will be required to learn how the Squamish Nation ( Sk̲ wx̲ wú7mesh ) lived and how they used their land around them
Additionally , one off-site trip days will safely introduce students to winter outdoor pursuits either participating in snowshoeing or crosscountry skiing . In addition , students engage in a traditional Indigenous longhouse program , and discover more about Indigenous history and Indigenous environmental practices and values .

Outdoor Education 12 is an off-campus excursion that provides students with an opportunity to celebrate the end of their Grade 12 year , spend quality time with their peers outside of Crofton House School , and reflect back on their experiences in Outdoor Education . Additionally , the trip will provide students with a culminating opportunity to participate in a whitewater rafting adventure down the Thompson River .
