This course aims to build on student ’ s existing interests in art with a view to improving and expanding their skills in a broad spectrum of materials , technologies and processes . 2D and 3D options include , but are not limited to , painting , digital drawing , and ceramics . Through critical and reflective thinking skills , students will create works of art that resolve creative challenges . Where possible , the course includes a field trip or a visiting guest artist . Assessment is standards based , with ongoing formative and summative assessment of course work and project-based assignments .

• Art Studio embraces the selection and combination of a broad spectrum of materials , technologies and processes for artistic expression .
• Traditions , perspectives , worldviews and stories can be shared through the visual arts .

• Visual arts offer unique ways of exploring one ’ s identity and sense of belonging .
