21 Finally were the riproaring Merlin’s Keep who managed to get people up onto the dance floor with their enthusiasm and sheer joy. It goes without saying there is a wealth of high level talent within all of the bands. It’s definitely one of the better fivers that I’ve ever spent. It’s not easy to organise four performances in quick succession on the same stage but the camaraderie and professionalism shone through and the event was pretty seamless, making for a very full and satisfying evening. At the end everyone got on the stage and performed “You are My Sunshine” together. We had gone with good friends and you really don’t get too much time for “chatting” but on this occasion and for this cause that’s no bad thing. I don’t know how much was raised, but I do know it was a stonking evening and we had a great time – I can recommend it to anyone, it’s easy going and fun – I even got on the dance floor – and I was only on orange juice! Let’s hope there are many more to come. Keep up the Great Work Angela – you are a true star! Ps: McCormack’s – next time get some crisps! J.D.Hopman. Hare Felting Workshop with Jean Hopman I had been looking forward to this workshop for ages, although I have done a fair bit of needle felting myself and was not a complete beginner, I had never made a felt Hare before ( I don't know why as I love them ) The workshop was well attended and we all began to assemble our Hares, it was great fun to watch all of the different Hares emerging, and even complete beginners all managed to produce some fantastic Hares.
