Margoga and Tteokbokki are two dishes with many similarities and differences. The first difference is that Margoga is one of the Emirati traditional dishes, while Tteokbokki is a Korean cuisine. The second difference is the sauce. In Margoga, Emiratis usually use red tomato paste while Koreans use a spicy red pepper paste and they add sugar and corn syrup to make it sweet and sour. The last and the most important difference is the main ingredien. Tteokbokki's main ingredient is the chewy rice cake. In contrast, Margoga's main ingredient is the flower paste. There are also some similarities between Margoga and Tteokbokki. The first similarity is that both of them have the same process which is boiling. The second similarity is that both Margoga and Tteokbokki have a chewy taste, with a thick and juicy consistency. The final similarity is both of them are Asian cuisines. To conclude, Margoga and Tteokbokki look very similar, but they taste different and they are from different civilizations. Emiraties might enjoy this Korean dish, but not as much as our own traditional cuisine.
