With new partners and some of the most interesting cars, Efficiency Motorsport was a real presence at the Kyalami Vilaca time attack event.
The biggest motoring enthusiast and motorsport weekend of the year is the annual Festival of Motoring( FOM), hosted at Kyalami. Each year, automakers and race teams bring their best to the home of South African motorsport to awe crowds and prove that South Africa ' s rich motorsport history remains strong and present.
Efficiency Motorsports was part of the 2026 FOM, competing in the Vilaca time attack event. Like the Simola Hillclimb event earlier this year, it was an amazing weekend being amongst factory race teams and true weekend warrior racers alike. All to celebrate everything great about driving, getting those few tenths of a lap faster, and being allowed to lap on one of the world ' s most regarded race circuits.

Kyalami has an incredible history. When it was still part of the Formula 1 schedule, Kyalami was regarded with begrudging respect for its fast corners, semi-blind apexes and tricky topography. The greatest circuits in the world ride and fall, creating an additional challenge for drivers, who need to master the technique of balancing weight shift during hard braking and turn-in, whether going uphill or downhill, into a corner.
For all the reasons Spa-Francorchamps is regarded as the greatest circuit on the current Formula 1 calendar, Kyalami has similar characteristics. With its steep climb through the esses, up to Leeukop corner. Followed by the nerve-testing descent through the iconic Mineshaft.
