PROJECT UPDATES
New Showgrounds offices being developed
By Brett Marlin
Perhaps the Showgrounds name needs to be changed
to Time Projects Park as these two buildings are
going to be the 13th and 14th buildings that are
being developed in Showgrounds by Time. We have
secured plot 64515 which is located between the
KPMG / AFA precinct and Showgrounds Close.
We are happy to consider purchasers, even if they are only for a wing
in the building as well as businesses who are wanting to rent premises
in the building. As with all our buildings, we will be providing a quality
product, which if required, can be certified by the Green Building
Council of South Africa. As a standard, we are providing partitioning,
wallpaper, carpeting, VRV air-conditioning, electrical, access control and
louvre blind tenant allowances. We would like to complete the building
to the tenant / purchaser’s specifications so that they can simply move in
and start operating in the building.
We have had two buildings designed on the property with a
total lettable area of 5 000m². As with all our developments we
are providing well above the council parking ratio and with this
development we have 4.5 parking bays per 100m².
We have not yet completed the exterior look and feel of the building,
so currently if a purchaser wanted to customise the exterior design of
the building it is still possible to do so. We are intending to start on
site during the second quarter of 2019 for completion in August /
September 2020.

will have parking for about 250 vehicles. Construction commenced in more about this type of foundation. Red East Construction has been
