It started 5 years ago after Dave Lochead was made redundant, after scrolling through social media he noticed wooden sunglasses. He then went on to do a lot of research and found that there was no in between market between low and very high range glasses. The four owners had a lot of barriers and had learnt a lot on the way to building the company; such as Luxottica a huge company which owns brands and retailers that prevented Finlay & Co. from expanding. Lochead showed a lot of dedication with the product that he is selling and he faced a lot of barriers but this didn't prevent him from making a very successful business. This has made the process of building a business a lot clearer and these steps are something which I could follow. To improve this I could have asked questions such as what resources he has used when researching, I then could have used them this will make my work a lot more professional.
