Glucose: a holistic view

 

Human beings need glucose in the body to maintain vital balance, 20% of the glucose we ingest is absorbed by the brain.

 

Glucose benefits: provides energy, awakens the brain by increasing concentration, helps build tissues, generates glycogen, necessary for the proper functioning of muscles, making them stronger and more resistant, helps assimilate proteins, nourishes the nervous system and neurons.

Also, it has relaxing effects, provides a favorable climate to rest and sleep, helps blood circulation and physical, mental and emotional functioning.

 

Healthy sources of glucose: fruits and vegetables, pure honey, whole grains, legumes, nuts and seeds, tubers such as carrots, beets, pumpkins, potatoes, onions, among others.

 

It is recommended to consume glucose in the morning, to receive its benefits.

 

There is a big difference between the glucose in natural foods and the sugar that is a processed product, which is extracted mainly from sugar cane, beets, and corn.

Sugar is scientifically considered addictive, alters metabolism, and affects health, due to its manufacturing process.
