proteins
a holistic vision for well-being
It is recommended to eat 15% of daily protein, from total food, or 1 gram of protein per kilo of body weight daily.
Proteins are molecules or complex structures that help build cells and regenerate them, there are proteins of plant and animal origin.
Among the vegetable proteins we have almonds, walnuts, sesame seeds, hazelnuts, peanuts, pistachios, seeds: pumpkin, sunflower, among others.
Legumes: soy, beans, lentils, broad beans, chickpeas, peas, kidney beans.
Cereals: quinoa, chia, amaranth, barley, whole wheat, brown rice, red rice, couscous, rye, oats, among others.
Animal proteins: red meat, white meat, fish and shellfish, eggs, milk and its derivatives.
The recommendation is that the proteins be of organic origin, from the region, as fresh as possible, like all the foods we eat.
If we are going to eat red meat, it is good to eat it with vegetables and raw salads, to facilitate digestion.
Some curious facts to keep in mind: proteins of
animal origin are high in saturated fat, especially
dairy, high in sodium, uric acid, produce
inflammation of the tissues. The healthiest
proteins are fish and nuts, seeds, and legumes.
