IWe are at a turning point in the development of our civilization.
The challenges we face are many, varied, and seriously compromise life as we know it. The planet has already experienced mass extinctions such as that of the dinosaurs, the flood, and the ice age in the past. These were major paradigm shifts brought about by outside forces. But for the first time in the history of the Earth, today, the human being is directly responsible for the extinction of life on the planet.
At the same time, our civilization is opening the doors and developing hundreds of new possibilities and discoveries in the fields of science, biology, and astrophysics, quantum physics, technology, and nanotechnology, among others that can give us a qualitative leap to become a planetary civilization, where the egoence of being and empathy prevail and we recognize ourselves a an integral part of Life and access the benefits of discoveries and technologies that lead to general well-being.
Feeling and discovering ourselves part of the planet and protectors of all life on it; this
is to be a planetary civilization. And it is within our reach if we don't destroy everything first. The choice is ours; it is in our hands.
Here I leave you the sound of a black hole in the very center of our galaxy, for the first time revealed by NASA, as if calling us to reflect and stop the march towards darkness.
