Wisdom, Knowledge and the Expansion of Consciousness

If someone were to ask me today, why are we born? I would answer to be wise and to share wisdom.

Age is not particularly relevant to this, because we are all born with a latent inner wisdom. Later, the outside world - through free will- leads us to believe that age and formal education generate wisdom, when in reality, they generate knowledge. Wisdom is something else entirely—something that goes far beyond knowledge, including the totality of being human.

When talking about wisdom, age does not matter. Through this experiment with the Young Journalists (see the August 2026

editorial), we learn that everyone has something to teach, and everyone can

learn from others, regardless of age.

he experiences lived by these young people—aged 13 to 18—are things that I, with my much longer life history, cannot and will not experience, precisely because of my age. Consequently, I can learn from their experiences just as they can learn from mine. This is shared wisdom, which fosters the expansion of our consciousness.
