YOUNG JOURNALISTS
EDITORIAL
It is not every day that I have the opportunity to take part in a life experiment—one that, as I journey along the path of life, becomes both a question and a longing for me. How do we share our lived experiences and our awareness of life with those coming up behind us, given that each person must live out their own unique life experience?
ABClatino’s free summer program, "Young Journalists," gives me the chance to work with a group of young people aged 13 to 18 and share the experience of life through journalism.
It is an experiment for both them and me. We all have much to give and much to learn. There are no teachers or disciples here; at different times, we are all both. Through the practice of journalism—writing their own articles, conducting research, and recording videos and interviews—these young people and I share something far more special: LIFE. And when we become conscious of this, we all transform into better human beings.
