Due to a knee replacement, I was no
longer able to handle and began working
toward completing my requirements to
Judge the Breed, In addition, I applied
for Juniors and now working on my next
breeds. The love of this sport including
judging, stewarding and owning dogs,
which is a huge part of my life and I hope
to continue for many years.
I have served as the Anthracite
Brittany Club Secretary for many years,
an active member in the Lehigh Valley
Kennel club and have been the ABC
Membership Data chair since March
of 2012. I worked as a manager in a

our lab. Since April of 2012, I have been
working at our area’s largest hospital,
which is so rewarding.

Junior Showmanship
In early 1988, my
husband told me he
wanted a bird dog.
He wanted a Brittany
and we began to
research the breed.
March of that year we purchased our
first Brittany, CH May-Jay’s PDQ Rapide
Chien JH. After finding out his sire was a
Westminster Breed winner, I thought, this
conformation thing might be fun.
I previously owned a Bearded
Collie who I showed several times, so I
managed to finish Petey before he was
two, with lots of help from many Brittany
people. Then along came a bitch, Annie,
and we started our breeding program in
1992. We planned our first litter, which
turned out to be an AI, to the number one
dog at that time, Ollie. As the years went
on managed to produce many fine dogs,
Jeanie, CH May-Jay’s Jeanie in a Bottle,
my heart dog, blessed me with wins I only
dreamed about.

puppy given to her on her 18th birthday
that was responsible for her lifelong
adventure into the sport a
