aking progress in the
things of God are always going to be .
exciting AND challenging. One thing is for sure; if God has given it to you as an assignment then it's going to be greater than you and it's going to be about other people. While God may and will use a point person or leader, there has never been an assignment where help and support wasn't needed or desired.
As I keep in mind the Word that spoken over me for THIS YEAR, I must not let my self get distracted or discouraged. That's why having spiritual partners like YOU make such a difference. Every word of encouragement, every donation, great and small, have not only kept me motivated but it has inspired me to keep on, keeping on. When something doesn't work well, tweek it! When something doesn't work at all- end it! Doing ministry requires flexibility. I have to be open and honest about not only myself but listen to what others have to say as well.
The most consistent request I get is to keep doing the daily devotionals! They are not your typical, help me have a great or better day encouragements. They are your spiritual checkpoints that provide you biblical teaching and spiritual soul searching to see where you are with God.
This month's theme is March Madness and while our nation is enjoying, being excited by and even becoming mad over basketball teams winning and losing (which by the way is nothing wrong with any of this) I do want challenge you to think about what makes you mad these days? What fizzes you? Gets you excited? What do you enjoy from Sunday to Sunday?
We live in a world that is magnificent in keeping in our mind, money and madness on everything but God. Hours turn into days, days into weeks and weeks in to months and what have we really accomplished in and for God? What difference has our spiriutal walk and development made in the life others?
God is watching us everyday!
Too often we hear the phrase, "God knows my heart" and you better believe it! Our actions speak louder than words.
