Continuation of Lust vs Love: Do we play the old card- 'God knows my heart and go for whatever it is we desire? Do flat out ignore God and enjoy it at the highest of pleasure or do we think..."What would Jesus do?" LOL Yes I laugh, because I can only imagine how few of us, myself including, think that actual thought. But lusting and then having it made it available is exactly like playing with fire. Part of what makes it so sensational is the fact that you aren't suppose to have it which further shows the natural depravation of mankind from the onset. Why do we want what we are not supposed to have?

Adam and Eve's relationship with God was never the same and so was all of mankind from that point on. Lust is nothing more than a tool for destruction. Lust is how the Devil lures us into a places we will normally never go and can never found our way back out of. Something that catchs our eye can create the worst future for us.....eventually it all boils down to what is operating the greatest on the inside of you. If you are a born again believer who has knowledge of God's word, then IF you choose to access it, it will come and can help you defeat the temptation that lies before you.

Jesus had fasted for 40 days and Satan came before Him and said, "If you are the Son of God, command that these stones become bread." Don't think for one minute that Jesus just flippantly dismissed the thought. For it to be a temptation then it was both desirable and available but Christ had least 3 things on His mind:

1) I don't take orders from Satan

2) For it is written, ' Man shall not leave by bread alone, but by every word that proceeds from the mouth of God." Jesus quoted Moses! (Deut. 8:3)

3) What will happen to my relationship with my heavenly Father if I obey Satan?

When we operate in lust- without fail we:

1) Take an order from Satan- not God

2) We IGNORE whatever God said about it in His Word or we don't evenr lives both here and eternally.

We were made in the image of God. He does not have a desire to get but only to give. He is LOVE.

know what He says about it in the Word

3) We fail to think about the impact this gratification will have on our relationship with our heavenly Father.

Lust is an inner motivated, self-centered, self-focus, strong desire. It is the antithesis of Love. Love has outward motivations for others. Love makes you focus on somoneone else. Love makes the other person the center of attention and when you love someone their wish is your command. If you've ever been in love or thought you were in love, you know this to be true. So little if anything is about you but it's all about the object of your affection.

I Corinthians 13 gives us several bibilcal definitions and examples. Verse 7 informs us that. "loves bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things and endures all things"; then verse 8 states, "Love never fails"

When our natural senses are in control, when our fleshly desires are taking the lead and when we are operating in carnality we cannot provide the kind of love God teaches us to exemplify. Self and love do not and can
