The public transport in the three different areas of Southbank, Keilor East and Williamstown are all quite unique with the systems they have and also the different types of transport available. Keilor East only offers buses to the community which is unlike Southbank which mostly relies on trains and trams for transportation. It is therefore a longer and more confusing ride into the city as they have to change from trains to buses. By having trains and trams in Southbank this system provides a more effective way of getting people around and also accommodates for more people which is needed in a densely populated area. Southbank also provides buses as an alternative for trams and trains but these do not run directly into the city, so it is good that they have other ways of transport. Williamstown is more like Southbank in the way of public transport though it doesn’t offer trams at the moment. There are 3 different train stations in Williamstown all with trains running in multiple directions as well as buses in the suburban area to provide easy access to the suburbs facilities for people with or without a car. By having many different freeways around Keilor East it makes it easier for people with cars to get around. This is like Williamstown which is also quite accessible with a freeway nearby and easy access to the city by car. People living in Southbank generally don’t have cars and therefore there is no need to have freeways nearby because they are right near the city.
In Williamstown and Keilor east the prices of houses are about the same $900,000 to $1,000,000. Due to Southbank being so near to the city and the prime location that they have the apartments or houses will vary in prices between $1,000,000 to around $3,000,000 which is enormous jump from the eastern and northern suburbs. Williamstown is slightly more expensive than Keilor East. In Keilor East there is a mixture of old and new houses but southbank and Williamstown do not have many old houses, as it is a more modern area. P.T.O
