• Christmas joy with the Woolworths Marketing Team :
The Woolworths Marketing team responded to a call for support , providing Christmas decorations for the Red Cross War Memorial Children ’ s Hospital during December 2023 . This was such a beautiful response with the Woolworths Marketing team getting their hands dirty and opening their hearts to take on the responsibility of decorating various wards . A lot of fun , laughter and selfless giving was appreciated by all . What better gift to give a traumatized and injured little one ! The hospital staff appreciated the act of giving as led by the Woolworths Marketing Team . We are so grateful !
• The ChildSafe team hosted WCED ’ s Director of Early Childhood Development , Dr Badroonisa Govender . In November 2023 , ChildSafe had the pleasure of hosting Dr Govender when she visited ChildSafe ’ s office to get to know more about the programme in Early Childhood Development Training which is funded by the WCED . This was a great exchange of information and mutual collaboration . The hands-on visit was much appreciated , and it was good to see a funder so committed to the training programme as offered by ChildSafe to the ECD practitioners .
