The Grapes of Wrath
In the story, Joad's family gets their home taken away from them. It wasn't just a house a farm, it was something that they had been working on for a long time. Because of the economic crash they had all of that taken away from them and were forced to chase a dream that may never happen. This was something that happened to millions of people because of all of the money that was lost. The worst being was that there was no way to get that money back. Even the people who had nothing to do with the economic crash adn the stocks were greatly impacted by it and were forced to leave a comfort zone and were foroced to chase a dream.
I think that these pictures reflect the time because it really does show the progression of not only the the Economic decay, but also the decay of the lives of these people. At first they live normal fulfilled lives, even those who weren't rich. Then, the stock market crash came thousands of people were scared for their lives when they lost their money the way the drawing depicts. And finally, there is the photo of a real even that means so much more. Not only is there a giant scary wall of dust coming at you, but there is nothing that you can do it about it and it is terrifying. All of these show how terrifying life must have been if you had to live through it.
