A Tribute to Edsel Vincent Colvin June. 2014 | Página 8

Fishing Edsel was in love with fishing. He spent most of his summer days fishing in Lobster Creek, and John’s Hole. The first salmon he caught was twenty pounds and was almost as long as he was tall; he was only 7. He had caught the salmon in John’s Hole, which was a couple miles upriver from Gold Beach. Edsel and his dad went to Mill Creek Slough to fish for steelhead once. The river was warm, but the creek was cold, so the steelhead would just swim around waiting to be caught. He and his dad caught a steelhead on every cast that day. They fished until they were tired, and then rowed back to shore.
