RISE WITH THE WOMEN OF IRAN
V-Day and One Billion Rising stood in solidarity with Iranians who took to the streets in largescale protests across the Islamic Republic of Iran in response to the murder of Mahsa Amini . Iranian women asked that we amplify the stories of women on the ground in Iran , that we show our solidarity and support , that we RISE for and with the women of Iran . One Billion Rising activists and coordinators spoke out in solidarity across social media platforms and more .
V-Day called on activists to create videos in solidarity , join rallies and to share widely and loudly about the injustices taking place in Iran and the radical , fierce protests that Iranian women on the ground are leading . We called on our network to call their elected officials and demand that they speak out against the Islamic Republic of Iran ’ s human rights violations .
