Dawn Walter Gagliano
Dawn Walter Gagliano, 40, is no stranger to travel.
This Athens, Ohio resident has spent much of the last twenty years pursuing her love of adventure. From New York to Maryland, West Virginia to California, London to Hungary, Dawn has leapt headfirst into a variety of educational and personal opportunities.
Early LIfe
Gagliano was born in Pittsburg, Pa., but spent the majority of her adolescence in Long Island, N.Y. Upon graduation, Dawn looked at several out-of-state schools.
“When I graduated high school, I wanted a small liberal arts college; I wanted to go away. New York has great schools, but for some reason, I didn’t want to go to any of them—I knew everyone who was going to there,” reminisces Gagliano.
Instead, Dawn chose to attend a small liberal arts college in Maryland. She later transferred to West Virginia University after visiting a friend who went to school there.
