LINDSEY MANAGEMENT CO., INC. (LINDSEY) is one of
the largest property management firms in the state providing
management services to over 160 apartment communities and 43
golf courses across Arkansas and the Mid-South. It takes a team
of community directors, resident managers, leasing consultants,
maintenance technicians, golf course managers and staff, a
corporate support staff and others to deliver a country club lifestyle
for residents and golf club members.
Colby Wilcox is a community director at one of the multi-million
dollar, 528-unit apartment communities for which Lindsey provides
management services. Wilcox grew up in Elkins, and he started

working part-time at the Links at Springdale Golf & Country Club
Pro Shop when he was in high school. “I needed a job and saw
they were hiring, so I applied before I graduated from high school
and worked there over the summer,” he recalls. Wilcox started
college in the fall but discovered that wasn’t the path for him.
“I started classes at Arkansas Tech University, but I didn’t enjoy it
and realized college wasn’t for me,” he explains. Wilcox returned
to work at the pro shop but didn’t stay there long. “A job opened
up for a leasing consultant at the Links at Springdale Apartments.
The community director thought I would be a good fit and offered
me the job,” Wilcox says. He took the opportunity and excelled at
his new position.
