Albert John , Sarah Rittenhouse , and Kathie Stetsenko + The Impact of Social Programming on the Interests and Social Participation of Children with Disabilities Activities for All Abilities strives to create an inclusive adaptive sports program to enhance participation and social interaction in children with intellectual and physical disabilities . We created a one group pretest-posttest mixed methods design . We found an increase in sports participation and an improvement in group social interactions between children . Positive qualitative themes were also identified to support the data .

Katelyn Devine + Why Workout at Work : Understanding and Developing an Employee Wellness Policy The benefits of health promotion programs within workplaces reduce depression , improve strength , and reduce risks of cardiovascular disease . The barriers and beliefs toward physical activity are impacted by determinants such as education , place of residence , and skill level . This research assessed how an employee-based policy for a workout program increases physical activity , while reducing one ’ s risk for morbidity and mortality in Southampton , Bucks County . This study reviewed literature of workplace wellness programs and evaluation of the policy . The research discovered that workplace health promotion programs aid improved health outcomes through the prevention of weightrelated outcomes , mental health , and musculoskeletal disorders .

E in Our Parks : The Importance of Protecting Utah ’ s National Parks The purpose of this project is to investigate the public health impact of the five major national parks in Utah , USA . National parks serve as a place for recreation , education , and scientific research . The protection of Utah ’ s National Parks is at risk due to funding and maintenance issues . The project uses relevant literature to examine the conditions of the national parks and offers recommendations to improve visitors ’ experience and preserve the parks .
