Francis Wakefield * Computer Forensics and Incident Response Incident Response ( IR ) is a planned approach implemented to handle cybersecurity attacks and data breaches . Part of an incident response involves computer forensics . A forensic analysis is used to determine the root cause of an attack , who was involved , what data or machines were compromised . Collecting this evidence must be carried out thoroughly and meticulously because the data collected may be needed as evidence in a court of law to prosecute those responsible . This research follows the steps an Incident Response Team ( IRT ) takes when investigating a digital crime scene .

Thomas Balla What Does the Public Know About Cryptocurrencies and Potential Scams ? This presentation is on what the public knows about cryptocurrencies and whether they are aware of the potential scams out there regarding crypto . By surveying the public , I will see what they know about these scams and if they have been potentially affected . We know about the type of scams used , but we do not know much about those who have been scammed . This study will give us more insight into these people and what can be done prevent the use of cryptocurrencies in scams .
Molly Fleming and Michael Napoli + The Mental Health Effects of Catfishing The purpose of this study is to examine the public ’ s perception and knowledge about the effects catfishing causes victims . We will be determining whether the public ’ s perception aligns with what we have found in past research in victimology . We will be analyzing if the effects victims experience impact their future use of online sites where catfishing is common , such as online dating platforms and social media .
Thomas Ford Mental Health Impacts of Being a Police Officer , and Officers ’ Reluctancy to Receive Help Policing is a career that can be detrimental to officers . The career exposes individuals to trauma that can result in PTSD . The purpose of this study is to examine what stressors different officers at different stages in their career identify as being detrimental to their mental health . A second purpose of this study is to identify what types of support systems are in place to assist officers and the reasons they may or may not seek help when in crisis .
