Chase “The Weapon” Walden
and Tom Lenhart are the Owner/
Operators of GrindStone Athletics
in Virginia Beach. Chase is the
Muay Thai Head Coach. He is also a
professional Muay Thai fighter and
the CEO/Founder of Virginia Thai
Fighting Championships. His many
titles and achievements in his 23-
year martial arts career include the
2013 World Kickboxing Association
(WKA) 165lbs World Champion,
2009 WKA 165lbs National Muay
Thai Champion, two-time Modern
Gladiators Super Welter weight
(160lbs) Muay Thai Champion,
165lbs King of The Ring Muay Thai
Champion, and WKA 2010 Team
USA National team member. In 2010,
Chase achieved WKA world ranking
#3. Chase is a certified Instructor of Kru Muay Thai under Muay Thai International.
Tom is the Strength and Conditioning Head Coach. He is a native of Virginia Beach where he had
a successful football career and earned a spot on the All-Beach team as a Defensive Lineman. He
attended West Virginia University and completed a BS in Multi-Disciplinary Studies followed by a
certification in personal training through World Instructor Training. He spent the last seven years
teaching English as a Second Language in Brazil, Thailand, Russia, Turkey, and South Korea and
completed a second personal training certification through American Council on Exercise.
Later, he assumed the role of coach and trained Chase to a 3-fight win streak and a World Title.
Tom has spent the greater half of his life committed to athletics of all types and continues to gather
knowledge to be the best coach, athlete, trainer, and person he can be.
